A Faith That Doesn't Quit

How do you keep your faith when it feels fragile and your heart feels mangled?

That's at the very heart of this powerful message by Pastor Krista Ortiz. She shares her journey of faith and how God showed her something remarkable: a collection of moments where her faith was present even when she couldn't feel it. This journey has taught her that faith isn't about never being shaken, it's about continuing to exercise it even when everything falls apart.

Drawing from the life of Abraham, Krista unpacks what it means to truly exercise faith in everyday life. She explains that vision without consistency doesn't transform, whether we're talking about our bodies or our faith. Many of us have vision for faith and genuinely want to believe God is who He says He is, but when God feels silent or moves differently than we expected, we treat faith casually, picking it up when it's convenient and setting it down when it's costly.

Krista challenges us to continue letting God have the blueprint of our lives, releasing control of our plans, dreams, timelines, and assumptions about how life should unfold. She shares vulnerably about giving God a blank page and a pen to write her story, contrasting this with the temptation to hand God a blueprint and ask Him to simply bless what we've already decided.

Throughout the message, Krista reveals intimate pictures from her hardest moments, including that hospital room on Mother's Day when she could have taken the pen back from God but instead chose to declare: "He is my God, and I trust Him!" even as her dreams slipped through her fingertips. She walked through a year of silence, even contemplating selling cheese instead of preaching, before getting back up and choosing continued obedience. The difference between hearing that God can do more and actually experiencing it, she explains, comes down to one thing: continued obedience when we keep following Him even when it hurts.

Krista closes with a simple promise that says, "Good things are coming." A promise she's clung to for six years, not because life turned out how she envisioned or because she got the child she prayed for, but because she's confident she'll see the Lord's goodness right here in the land of the living.

This message will resonate deeply with young adults navigating disappointment, delayed dreams, and the challenge of trusting God when life doesn't make sense.
