From Mat To Mission

Jesus said, "The Kingdom of God is at hand..." His whole ministry was about introducing His Kingdom here on Earth and empowering His followers to advance His Kingdom. Throughout His ministry, Jesus healed the sick and lame and called them to go forth and proclaim His Gospel.
This is the same the mission (and commission) that Jesus calls His followers to today!
Jesus meets each of us where we are and as we are, and we are each given an opportunity to respond to His invitation and carry out His mission.
Just like the crippled man in John 5, Pastor Natalie de Haas of Spirit Church NYC reminds us that Jesus is calling us to get up from our mat and to go out with His message of the Good News of His Kingdom!
