Jesus Is WITH You!

December 22, 2025
Nobody wants to be alone...

That doesn't mean you don't want to be left alone for a moment, but nobody wants to feel alone.

In 735 B.C., the Lord spoke these words through the prophet Isaiah: "The Lord himself will give you the sign. Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son and will call him Immanuel (which means ‘God is with us’)."

The name Immanuel—"God is with us"—isn't just a nice theological concept. It's the reality that Jesus refused to be God without us! Our sin separated us from God, but His love refused to leave us isolated. But Jesus's arrival means you never have to face a single day, moment, or situation alone. He's not just present with you; He fully understands you because He became like you. As Hebrews 2:17 explains, Jesus was made like us in every respect so He could be our merciful High Priest.

But here's where it gets even better: Jesus doesn't just show up to keep you company. He shows up to transform you! As the early church father, Athanasius, said perfectly: "He [Jesus] became what we are so that we might become what He is." Jesus's objective isn't simply comfort or presence—it's transformation. He's actively changing you into His glorious image!

So this Christmas season, remember that Jesus's arrival 2,000 years ago is both proof and promise... Proof that God cares about your present reality and a promise that He has something amazing for your future.

Because of Jesus's arrival:
  • You are never alone!
  • You are fully understood!
  • And you will never be the same!
