Who Is Jesus To You?

Who Is Jesus To You?

In this timely and relevant message, Ricky challenges a common misconception that trips up many young Christians today:

Just because you're familiar with Jesus doesn't mean you actually know Him.

You might know Bible stories, have verses memorized, and show up to church regularly, but that familiarity doesn't automatically translate into the kind of faith that moves mountains and causes Jesus to work miracles in your life.

Ricky unpacks Mark 6:1-6, where Jesus returns to His hometown of Nazareth only to find that the people who knew Him best—His neighbors, childhood friends, and family—were the very ones who couldn't believe in Him. Their familiarity with Jesus as "just a carpenter" actually prevented them from experiencing His power.

This is a wake-up call for anyone who's been coasting on Christian culture without cultivating genuine connection. The difference comes down to Knowledge versus Revelation.

Knowledge is intellectual—facts, dates, and information you can recite. Revelation is transformational—it's the deep understanding that comes from intimacy with Jesus and fundamentally changes your heart.

So how do you move from knowing about Jesus to actually knowing Him? Ricky offers two practical choices that will revolutionize your faith journey.

First, choose presence over performance. Too many of us are performing Christianity—attending services, singing worship songs, saying the right things—without actually spending quality time with Jesus. Like Mary sitting at Jesus's feet while Martha stressed over preparations, we need to prioritize being present with Him through Scripture, prayer, and inviting Him into our daily lives.

Second, choose commitment over convenience. Just like marriage requires fighting through hard seasons and inconvenient moments, your relationship with Jesus will face challenges that make you want to quit. But it's precisely in those wrestling moments that commitment deepens your revelation of who He truly is.

This isn't about working harder at being a good Christian. It's about discovering the person of Jesus in a way that produces breakthrough faith—the kind that makes Him declare, "Let it be done for you according to your faith!"

If you're tired of knowing about Jesus without experiencing His power, this message will show you the path to genuine transformation and the miracles that follow authentic revelation!
